Betsy-Tacy Convention!

Yesterday I was thrilled to find that in July 2009 there will be a Betsy-Tacy convention in Mankato.

I am a huge fan of the series. As a girl, I checked them out of the library and read them repeatedly, and as this was pre-Borders and Barnes and Noble, my dad took me to B. Dalton's and I special ordered a hardcover copy of Betsy-Tacy and Tib of my very own. I moved to Minnesota a couple of years ago and last fall I was very excited to find that the Minnesota Library Association's conference included a tour of the original Betsy-Tacy houses in "Deep Valley." My (then) fiance (now husband) sportingly came along, and we visited Maude Hart Lovelace's former home, and we sat on the famous bench (I will post the pictures another time). I was over the moon!
