If you are interested in the work of overseas authors, try a four-part Autralian adventure novel for teens, Dangerous Days: The Autobiography of a Photojournalist, by J. William Turner, just published in New York by Eloquent Books/AEG Publishing. It is unusual in that it contains four separate but connected full-length stories within the one cover.
